Wallace Gracewood

Wallace Gracewood

GRACEWOOD Wallace Alfred. On 5 August 2009, aged 64.

Darling husband and best friend of Liz. Beloved Dad of Jolisa, Greg, Gemma and Ben. Dearest Dad-in-law of Richard, Vanessa and Alex; always delighted Poppa of James & Toby, Ruby & Gabriel, Ollie & Amelie and the rest to come, and fantastic friend to so many.

We have no clue how we’ll go on without him, but life with Wallace taught us that there is always a solution to every puzzle. Try this one: Wow! Large accolade arranged for beloved and irreplaceable husband, father and grandfather (7,9).

A celebration of Wal’s life will be held this Sunday 9th August from 6.00pm at Western Springs Garden Community Hall, 956 Great North Rd, Western Springs. If you can’t be there, email your stories of Wal to walliz@gracewood.co.nz.

Wallace doesn’t need flowers, but he would love donations to St Joseph’s Mercy Hospice, who have been beyond brilliant.

  1. If you knew Wallace personally, please feel free to email your stories and comments to walliz [at] gracewood.co.nz, and/or leave a comment below.

  2. Dear Ben. Issy and I will never forget how much of the success of our wedding 6 years ago at the Mt Eden Bowling Club was thanks to Wallace and Liz. We will always remember Wallace as a kind, selfless, warm and enormously generous man. All our love to your dear family. See you on Sunday. The Colemans.

  3. We were just laughing about the time when Wallace came to Wilco’s party wearing his undies on the outside –
    a real life super hero!
Our love and thoughts to you all
Nicki, Ross, Wilco and Bebe-Ray Campbell
