Someone has commented here that if you already have a wifi profile defined on your Pocket PC, disabling WZC results in a faster connection next time around. I can only presume this is because WZC puts some sort of overhead on connection time by searching for other available APs first.
I’ve written a small app to disable “Wireless Zero Configuration” for my Ipaq 4150. I think it should also work on any other Windows Mobile 2003 based Pocket PCs with built-in wireless cards.
