Dye Sublimation for the Masses

Sony Picture StationSony has released a new dye sublimation photo printer at the pretty sweet price point of US$150. Dye sublimation, while not as good as professional photo paper, produces photos that are much more durable and of a higher quality than inkjet printers. Print costs equate to about US$0.50 per print when high-quality paper and dye are taken into account.

So fot $150, you’re getting a printer that produces photos on-par with kiosk-printed photos, at about half the price. Not half bad.
